Enjoyed the book and was drawn to the characters however, a tad long (never thought I'd say that) with a lot of unnecessary words. The story was great and I was surprised at the outcome. If I had to pick a flaw, it was that the author is writing a lesbian novel. REALLY!! At 430 pages I expected a little more than junior high sex. While I personally don't enjoy books that spend the entire time in the bedroom, or elsewhere, this was most definitely lacking. Please don't include the book in this genre if you're simply writing straight fiction.I do recommend the book though for a good read.

I was expecting something really good after reading the first 10 reviews and I was a bit disappointed especially because of the writing style too many detailed scenes that prevented the story to flow, unnecessary fillers which I found to be annoying because they absolutely brought nothing to the story. Some parts of the book were well written, others not so much. And if you like steamy sex scenes in your lesbian romance, they aren't any in this book contrary to what some reviewers seem to be implying other than some heavy kissing and foreplay.
Absolutely fantastic! Alexis Venice keeps getting better and better. Her books are exciting, well written and hard to put down. She keeps you wanting more. The mystery unfolds so smoothly, very accurate descriptions. Great romance, great story, great job Alexi!!
I have not sat and read a book for years. I was fortunate to get a heads up on this book and I sat down one night to start reading and couldn't wait to get back to it the next night. I couldn't put it down until I finished the entire book. I can't wait for the next sequel!! GREAT book, HIGHLY recommended!
This was a really good story, I can’t say much without giving it away but it’s definitely worth the read. I can’t wait to read the next book and see where Jen, Amanda and Tommy go.
I enjoyed reading this story and getting to know the characters. Sometimes you just get knocked on the head with attraction and you can't fight it. I thought the attraction was well written.
This book (heck, the whole series) is FANTASTIC! Rarely do books get into my thoughts like these did - I would think about them during the day at work. The two main characters, Amanda & Jen, are people I wish were my real friends (maybe I need to get out more?) Anyhow, the books are so good & I cannot recommend them highly enough. As Venice writes, she occasionally throws in thoughts that the characters have in their minds which I really liked. It was one of the ways that made the characters so real to me. The story line is great, the writing is great, my only complaint is that there aren't more books to the series! More! More! More Venice! )
3.5 stars! nice introduction to an incredible series..intense scenes,very intriguing,suspenseful,mystifying and an interesting storyline...plot wist,good supporting cast and adorable leads that the author took time to write their side story even with chaos happening or surrounding them..readers got to see their relationship developed in this series..great writing and highly recommend to everyone
